Facilitation Foundational Skills Level One

Facilitation Foundational Skills skills are in great demand as organizations become more heavily involved in creating team-based environments. The success of any team is directly related to the ability of the facilitator or meeting leader to guide the team toward a common goal and shared understanding.  Facilitators play a key role in helping a group make decisions. They help create a safe environment where everyone feels like their input is valued.

In Better World's Facilitation Foundational Skills, Level One Workshop, you’ll explore the benefits of facilitation, explore the group decision making process, explore various tools a facilitator uses, and have the opportunity to practice facilitating a group (and receive feedback on your efforts). Two full days are committed to developing skills  and learning tools for facilitating small groups (under 20 people).

Facilitation is defined as:

"A process by which events are “helped to happen.” Facilitating is a kind of influence role that is neither authoritarian nor abdicating." –Cummings and Worley
